The CLE is provided free of charge for paid members of the DCBA. This membership is not the same as your mandatory dues payment of $75 to the Fourteenth Judicial District Bar. New members may join the DCBA and participate in the event.
While attendance at this event is included in the cost of your dues payment, all members who attend the CLE Event will receive an invoice for $3/per hour of instruction from the NC Board of CLE. Those who prefer not to join the DCBA may pay $30/ hour of instruction to the DCBA, plus the $3/hour CLE fee stated above. Payments are due the day of the event.
For headcount purposes (seats, coffee & snacks) you must register in advance for the morning and afternoon sessions which you plan to attend. You may also register separately for the Ethics/Professional Responsibility hours if you are unable to attend the remainder of the sessions in which these hours are included.
CLE Credit Forms will be provided to each participant on the days of the Event. Members will use these forms to sign and certify their attendance at specific sessions. Forms will be collected and certified by the Registrar. Credit will be requested on your behalf for the sessions you attended.
Lunch is "on your own," and there are many restaurants nearby. However, if you prefer not to leave the facility during lunch, meals are available on site.

DCBA CLE EVENT JANUARY 31 – FEBRUARY 1, 2013 AT HOPE VALLEY COUNTRY CLUB
Thank you to alll who taught or participated in this event. It was an overwhelming success, with 147 participants registered and 12 instructors. Instructors are now being sought for the second annual event, which will take place in January 2014. Instructor topic summaries and bio information will be due in November 2013.

Future CLE Opportunities for DCBA Members
In the 2013 - 2014 fiscal year, which starts July 1, 2013, members of the Durham County Bar Association -- Durham's voluntary Bar -- may obtain a total of 13 hours of CLE. Membership is $125 in addition to your $75 mandatory dues to the Fourteenth Judicial District Bar. Please email the Executive Director at email@example.com for a membership checklist document.
