George H. White Bar HISTORY In 1962, African-American attorneys established the George H. White Bar Association in recognition of George Henry White. Although primarily comprised of African-American attorneys who reside or practice law in Durham County, the Association has extended its membership to encompass other ethnicities. We are dedicated to continuing the legacy and work of George White as a spokesman for all. Our purpose is to enrich Durham County and the legal community through service, scholarship opportunities for high school and law school students, mentor programs, and resources to the local bar. MEMBERSHIP & MEETINGS The annual dues are $25. Our fiscal year runs from January to December. A check may be made payble to the George H. White Bar Association and mailed to us at P. O.
